Traditional music

The provinces of Alicante and Valencia are well known for their great festive spirit and inland the traditions continue just as strong. Fiestas stemming from ancient times during all seasons show us the celebration of life and importance of rituals in our culture.

Each village in the Vall de Laguar have fiestas, Campell on the 25-26 July, Benimaurell on the 15-20 August and Fleix 12-13 September.

There are many other celebrations and events, including a huge gathering each year in October of walkers, professional and non, who come and walk the route of the Barranco del Infierno (Ravine of Hell). More than a thousand people from all over come for this event, like a pilgrimage and at the end of their efforts they are rewarded with a huge communal meal.
